The job responsibilities of Transport administrator include:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the taxi fleet.
Schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance to ensure the fleet is in optimal condition.
Assist in the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new taxi drivers.
Maintain driver records, including licensing, certifications, and contact information.
Coordinate driver schedules and assignments.
Coordinate and monitor taxi dispatch operations.
Respond to customer inquiries and requests for taxi services.
Allocate taxis efficiently to meet demand and optimize service coverage.
Address customer concerns and complaints related to taxi services.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing timely and reliable services
Maintain accurate records of taxi trips, including time, distance, and fares.
Generate reports on taxi utilization, driver performance, and other relevant metrics
Schedule and conduct regular inspections of taxi vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards.
Address and report any maintenance or repair issues promptly.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for interacting with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders.
Effective organizational skills to manage schedules, coordinate dispatch operations, and maintain records.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
A focus on providing excellent customer service to address customer inquiries, complaints, and requests.
Familiarity with taxi dispatch software, GPS systems, and other relevant technology tools used in the transportation industry.
The ability to adapt to changing schedules, unforeseen circumstances, and emergency situations. Given the need for accurate recordkeeping and efficient scheduling, attention to detail is important.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in Management or a related field. Previous experience in transportation management, logistics, or a related field is often preferred. Experience in a similar role within the taxi or ride-sharing industry is particularly valuable.
